The Charles Hamilton Story

December 05, 2016

Today, I decided to go with something a little different for New Music Mondays. Over the weekend, I came across this moving documentary on Harlem-based rapper, Charles Hamilton. To be honest, I didn't know much about Charles Hamilton other than his hit single, Brooklyn Girls, and him getting punched in the face by a girl in the middle of a freestyle battle. However, by watching this documentary, I quickly found out that there is much more to this young man. It's a well crafted story about the art of music, passion, failure, abuse, loss, recovery, and resurgence. After finding out what Charles has endured in his life, I'm truly rooting for him. His journey and perseverance is the embodiment of being FEARLESS AND ZEALOUS EVERYDAY. The documentary is 50 minutes long but it's definitely worth the watch. Check it out below.
