I've known the homie Slim Collins, or Q what I refer to him as, for quite some time now. He's one of the rare few that was born in raised here in SF so we immediately had that in common. He's been swinging by the FAZE shop since we've opened but it wasn't until a couple of years back that I found out he can rap. He's damn good at it too!
Slim's style differs from the high energy, hyphy-esque, or mob music that is prevalent among artist in San Francisco and the Bay. Even though he may have been raised on it and raised in it, he decided to take a different approach. Much credit should be given to his producer and fam, QuakeBeatz, for lacing him with that soulful, true Hip Hop sound.
Slim Collins just released a new EP titled, From Concentrate, earlier this month. One of my favorite tracks off of his EP is XL. He has a video for the track and it was even directed by his producer QuakBeatz. Peep it below.
Some of my other favorite tracks off the project include Smoke Screen, SF, and LPR. But that's enough of me yappin' about the slapps lol. Give it a listen below and make sure you follow Slim Collins and QuakeBeatz to stay up to date on all their releases. San Fran stand up!
