Best Places for Minority-Owned Businesses

March 15, 2016

We recently participated in a NerdWallet study about minority business ownership here in San Francisco. For those that are unfamiliar with NerdWallet, they build accessible online tools

that act as a source of information, insight and consumer-driven advice about personal finance. NerdWallet is based here in San Francisco and so are we. For us at FAZE, it's both a challenge and a blessing to run our small business in one of the world's most expensive cities. No day is promised and no day is taken for granted, especially having a business that is located in the ever-changing Mission District of San Francisco. Within three plus years of having our store here, we've seen long-time residents priced out, new people moved in, old establishments closed down, new establishments built and so on and so on. Despite these constant changes, it is somewhat gratifying to see San Francisco at #6 on the list of best places to own a business as a minority. To learn more about our background and to discover some other top places for minority-owned businesses, CLICK HERE to read the entire NerdWallet study.
