Earlier this week the FAZE team went out to Las Vegas for the Agenda Trade Show. For the first time in about 4 years FAZE had a booth and was showing the upcoming line. This was my first time going to a trade show and I was excited to see what they were all about. We got in on Sunday and headed straight to the Sand Expo center to set up the booth. We had a great location for the booth, right by the entrance to the show and next to some bigger brands like Staple and Diamond.
The show started on Monday at 9am so we had to be up bright and early. We went out the night before so we were running off very little sleep...it's Vegas after all! After everything was set, folks started coming by to checking out the booth. It is always great to meet people and introduce them to the brand. Not too long after, I was able to walk around and check out the rest of Agenda as well as Liberty and Capsule (two other trade shows in the building). As soon as I started walking around it was very apparent how overwhelming trade shows can be. There is just so much to take in. From the brands I knew and wanted to check out to new brands that caught my eye.
Not only were we there to show our brand, but we also wanted to find some brands that would potentially work in the store. Johnny, Herbert, and myself went around the show striking up conversations with different brands. It was nice to meet new people from all over the world and hear about their different brands.
After spending most of the day at Agenda, Liberty, and Capsule we headed over to Sourcing (at Magic). This show housed manufacturers from around the world with their main objective being to show their manufacturing capabilities. This was definitely one of the more intriguing parts of the trip. We checked out samples for new hat concepts, as well as other potential manufacturing opportunities. Seeing more of the behind the scenes of where (and how) clothes are produced was a nice pace switch from the rest of the trade shows we had attended.
Looking back on the trip it was a blur. There was so much to take in and learn in such a short amount of time. I’m already looking forward to the next trade shows I am able to attend because I know I will be more prepared for what gets thrown at me.
