Nowadays, with people constantly on social media, I believe it creates a misperception of what it takes to take it to be successful in whatever their dream is. There is a sense of instant gratification as new artists are discovered and blown up overnight. And this goes for music artists, brands, designers, etc. I think its important to understand how much time is needed to put in to perfect your craft.
Valuing the process and investing your time wisely is key to getting to the next level. You must try to take every opportunity that is available to you instead of waiting for a hand out. But in order to do this you have to be patient as well, because for most of us things don't just start pop off overnight. But the way I look at it, a slow grind is better than no grind.
If you are focused on grinding toward your dreams, you will find time to work towards that dream daily no matter what you got going on in your life. And if you don't find the time you clearly are not taking your dream too seriously. If you look at any professional athlete or artist I can guarantee they have put in countless hours toward their dream. They invested the time to improve themselves to help get them to the level of success they have achieved.
I am a fan of Big Sean's music and I think he has done a great job with the videos he has been putting out for his most recent album. He recorded the whole album in the studio he recently built in his LA spot. I wanted to share a couple of these videos and hope you get inspiration to get on your grind today!
